Les rizicultures ont grandement participé à façonner les paysages japonais. A travers les pousses de riz 🌾, barbotent canards et canetons (aussi sur l’étiquette), ici pour une bonne raison, car ils désherbent, mangent insectes nuisibles, et apportent nutriments par leurs déjections. Pour les habitants de l’archipel, le riz représente notre lien à la terre, au centre, et au ciel. Ils ont coutume d’en faire offrandes aux ancêtres et divinités. D’ailleurs la divinité du riz prend le nom de Inari, et est vénérée afin de veiller sur les champs, les rendre fertiles, et donner des récoltes abondantes. Elle peut prendre l’apparence du Kitsune, du renard, ou ce dernier, peut aussi représenter son messager, présent en bas droite de l’illustration.

Taille : 11,4 x 7,9 cm. Pensons quand même à favoriser le riz local, car l’on peut en trouver en France et au Portugal. Une étiquette non pas réservée au riz japonais, (surtout qu’après de grandes sécheresses, le pays traverse une pénurie), mais pour apprécier je l’espère, son caractère sacré, à travers son histoire au Japon ✨
